Two Lady Tiger athletes were named to the 26-4A All-District teams and three players received honorable mention nods.
Vanessa Reyes was named to the all-district first team by the Texas High School Association for the 2019-2020 season last Friday.
“Reyes was the workhorse for us,” said Soccer Coach Kaitlyn Brinkley. “She did whatever we asked in order to help the team.”
Carla Ugalde was named second team all-district.
“Ugalde stepped up for us big time this year,” Brinkley said. “She played lights out on defense and solidified a good defensive front for us.”
Ana Pacheco, Yarely Navarro and Jassmin Cervantes were given honorable mention.
“We were a very young team this year,” Brinkley said. “A lot of our players had never played soccer before, so we had to start from the ground up. They are showing so much potential for the years to come.”
