Rockdale will face the Lady Eagles again at 6 p.m., Thursday at C.H. Yoe High School gym, Cameron, for the fourth place spot in District 13-3A.

“This is the team I knew they could be,” said RHS head volleyball coach Jennifer Keen, after the emotional match. “They started to to realize that we better start to do something about it or (our season) is going to come to an end.”

The Lady Tigers caught fire midway through the first set with consistent scoring and built a comfortable lead to win 25-16 25-16, 26-24.

The winner of the match will move on to the 2018 UIL 3A bidistrict finals.

“Their middles are their main threat for us and we just have to shut them down again,” Keen said about playing the Lady Eagles on Friday. “I think our defense did a great job tonight of adjusting. We flustered them and we were able to use our offense and make them play defense.”

More information about the match and Friday’s game will be in next week’s
