The Lady Tigers volleyball team played in Lexington on Friday. They lost in very close games. The final was Lexington 3, Rockdale 1.
The Lady Tigers won the first set but the momentum changed towards a good Lexington Eagle team and Rockdale was never able to recover.
Former Lady Tiger and Head Volleyball Coach Morgan Laughlin said, “We look forward to fixing the little things that should ensure victories against the Eagles in the next round of district play.”
JV— JV1 team lost 0-2.
Lady Tigers vs. Academy
Earlier in the week at home the Lady Tigers volleyball team lost to Academy in five sets, the final was Academy 3, Rockdale 2.
Coach Morgan Laughlin said, “Losing the fifth set is always hard. Even though we lost it was a great game for our athletes. As a team we had a total of 21 aces. We need to work on communication and serving mistakes.”
JV— The JV1 and JV2 were both 0-2.
