The Lady Tiger volleyball teams for the most part continued to struggle last week with losses both to Troy and to Rogers.
TROY— The Lady Tigers started the week with a road game against the Troy Trojans. The varsity spikers lost 3-0, JV1 lost 2- 0 and JV2 lost 2-0.
ROGERS— They wrapped up the week with a home loss against the Rogers Eagles.
The varsity lost 3-0 and JV1 lost 2-0, leaving JV2 as the only winners against Rogers, 2-0.
“We have had some tough losses in district play,” former Tiger and current head volleyball coach Morgan Laughlin shared. “We are close, these girls need to keep pushing. We are athletic enough and we fight hard. We are really missing players Alli Lay and Molly Moody who are out with injuries.”
Despite the losses, Coach Laughl i n and her team remain upbeat, “Trinity Hurd, a JV player, has stepped up and has quickly become a team leader and a great addition to the team. We are looking forward to the Cameron game. These girls are ready for a win.”
The Lady Tiger volleyball team has a 14-22 record for the year.
