It was another rough week for a talented and hard-fighting Lady Tiger volleyball team.
LEXINGTON— Earlier in the week the Lexington Eagles came into town and beat our Lady Tigers 3-1 on Senior Night where players Georgia Woodard, Halle Jimenez and Jamy Laywell were all recognized.
McGREGOR— Later in the week, the team traveled to McGregor to face the Bulldogs and lost 3-0.
Former Tiger and current Head Morgan Laughlin is optimistic and should be, “This has been a growing season for these girls despite the losing record. We have had a lot of adversity and have had to work together to overcome both off and on the court.” “Teamwork is our theme for the rest of the year,” she added. “We will definitely miss our seniors next year, Halle, Georgia and Jamy but our future is bright with so many talented players returning.”
JV— The JV1 team lost 2-0 to McGregor and JV1 beat Lexington 2-1.
