Lexington summer select player to play in all-state tournament

A Lexington 11 and under baseball player won honors, while playing on a summer select baseball team in Houston at the beginning of August.

Mason Biehle, 11, the son of Russell and Tina Biehle of Lexington, won second place in the Fastest Man competition during his evaluation to play with the Houston American team on Aug. 4-5.

He was chosen from the Houston team to participate in the all-star tournament with Team Texas in the Showcase Championship in Lafayette, Louisiana over Labor Day weekend.

The team will play against other 11 and under teams in Alabama, Louisiana and Washington.

He will also play in the 2018 Desert Falls Classic in Las Vegas in October.
