THORNDALE—St. Paul Lutheran School in Thorndale hosted their annual invitational basketball tournament on Jan. 19-20.
The Lions boys’ varsity team k icked off t he tournament by going 2-0 on the first day, including a win against Immanuel Lutheran Giddings.
The final day started with a loss for the Lions to Cross Lutheran New Braunfels, followed by another win against Giddings.
It was standing room only as Lions fans filled the gym to watch the boys play in the championship game. The Lions came out on top, defeating New Braunfels to win the tournament championship.
Congratulations to all the boys on their hard work and to the coaches for their dedication to the team.
Congratulations also to the St Paul Lions girls’ varsity team for placing second in the girls’ tournament.
