HOUSTON—In mid January, Team CTX 5.0, under Coach Fleming of Cameron, competed in the indoor Carl Lewis Invitational Track Meet at the University of Houston.
The boys 4x200 team placed first with a time of 1:29:54, ranking them 11th in the nation. This team consisted of: Timothy Grice (Rockdale), Ty’Shaun Lloyd (Cameron), Coy Klish (West) and Carson McCoy (Thorndale).
The girls 4x200 placed third with a time of 1:42:82 and included Yierra Flemings, Lilly Sarbeck, Jade Williams and Rika Witt.
Other events included Sierra Flemings, placing fourth in the 60m with a time of 7:64; Jade Williams, sixth in the long jump with a jump of 17-7; Ja’Shaun Lloyd, third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.98; and the girls 4x800 team placed fourth with a time of 10:04:55.
