Lady Eagle softball lost their season finale 3-1, but not without putting up a fight against playoff-bound Bremond last Tuesday.
Milano led early after Toni Meyer hit a single to lead off the second inning and scored on a passed ball.
BHS took a 2-1 lead in the fourth with aggressive base-running from the Lady Tigers.
Bremond made it 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth, which was enough to win the game.
Meyer led Milano from the circle with three hits allowed and seven strikeouts.
Meyer and Molly Ybarra had Milano’s two hits off Bremond pitcher Kylie Pierce, who struck out 16.
The Lady Eagles ended their season with a record of 4-10 in District 27-2A and a record of 5-10 overall.
This was the final game for Ybarra, the team’s only senior. The rest of the Lady Eagles are expected to return next season.
