Eagle basketball fell to Iola on the road Friday evening.
MHS opens their District 27-2A slate on Friday in Hearne. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Lady Eagles opened district play this past Friday, losing to Granger a close 41-37 battle. Milano trailed early going into halftime down 27-9 but outscored the Lady Lions 28-14 in the second half to come within four points of them.
Laynie Rose led MHS in scoring with 11 points while Natalie Compton had 9 and Montgomery Popham had 8. Aaliyah McBrewer finished the game with 4.
They faced Thorndale on the road Tuesday after this week’s Reporter deadline and take on Hearne prior to the boys’ game.
