Over the weekend, the Lady Eagles went 1-3 at the Thrall tournament which included a double-overtime thriller with Flatonia where the Lady Bulldogs came out on top 48-46.

The day before, MHS fell 55-36 to Bremond and 65-17 to Lago Vista, Tex a s Girs Coaches Association’s 13th-ranked team in Class 3A.

Following their loss to Flatonia, the Lady Eagles got their first win of the season when they defeated Dime Box 35-26.

Senior Bethanie Compton led Milano with 15, Sage LoBue had 12 and Laynie Rose had four.

McKenna Robertson and Kailtlyn Telg each had two.

ROSEBUD- LOTT On Tuesday, the Lady Eagles fell to a fiery, 5-1 Rosebud-Lott team 60-15.

Leading scorers for Milano were Robertson with seven, and Compton, who had six.

THIS WEEK – The Lady Eagles were host to North Zulch on Tuesday after press time.

This weekend, they play in the Fayetteville Tournament.

MHS begins play in District 25-2A the following Tuesday in Thrall against the Tigerettes.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

EAGLES– Milano’s boys made the trip to North Zulch where they went 2-3.

They went undefeated on Thursday, beating Fayetteville 69-50 and taking down Latexo 55-47.

On Friday, they lost to Navasota’s junior varsity 51-41 and to Centerville 63-50.

Milano ended the tournament on Saturday with a 56-52 loss to Richards after going into the fourth quarter tied.

BRYAN– On Tuesday, the Eagles suffered a 52-46 road loss to Bryan-St. Joseph.

The Catholic school took an early lead and held on for the remainder of the game.

THIS WEEK – MHS faced Fayetteville again on Tuesday after press time and plays in the Bremond Tournament this weekend.

The Eagles begin district play on Friday, Jan. 3, at Granger High School.
