While the Lady Eagles and Lady Dogs played post-season basketball this week, the 24th-ranked Eagles and the Bulldogs re-scheduled their Tuesday evening matchup and will now play Thursday, 6 p.m. at the Bulldog Gymnasium.
Since the Eagles are 7-1 and the Bulldogs are 6-2 in District 27-2A, the game will play a big part in deciding the district winner. If Milano wins, they will be the outright district champions. If Thorndale gets the victory on their home floor, the two schools will be co-district champions and will have to decide seeding with either a playoff game or a coin toss, which is what the Bulldogs did in the 2018-2019 season when they finished the year tied with Hearne.
There will not be a junior varsity game.
LAST WEEK—Both teams won on Friday with the Eagles winning over Granger 70-44 and the Bulldogs falling to Hearne, 59-50.
