Body

For the 17th time in school history, the Thorndale Bulldogs beat the Milano Eagles in football. This time, it was in a 49-0 shutout at MHS on Friday.

The Bulldogs were quick to score as senior Stryker Leschber blocked a punt return that he took into the end zone. Colton Merryman’s extra point made the score 7-0 a little over two minutes into the game.

THS was far from finished, as Leschber scored on a six-yard run three minutes later and Coy Stutts threw his first touchdown pass of the game to Clason Beasley from the Thorndale 15-yard line.

Leschber and Beasley also scored in the second quarter along with sophomore Jack Herzog, who scored his first touchdown of the year on a 13-yard run.

Leading 42-0 at halftime, Thorndale scored once more and finished non-district play with a record of 2-2.

Top performers for the Bulldogs were Beasley, who had 137 yards between his two touchdowns and Stutts, who was four-for-four with 164 yards. Leschber also had a season high of three touch downs in a game.

Top performers for Milano were Ethan Gordon and Alan Maldonado, who combined for a total of 80 yards on 21 carries.
