Earlier this month, Milano High School volleyball and football players picked up district awards, including senior Greg Storey, Offensive Linemen of the Year.
Other Eagle football players that racked up honors were Ethan Gordon, Andres Ruelas and Edison Bui, who were first team selections on offense. Gordon and Bui also made the first team on defense, along with Storey.
Second team selections were Gerald Dykes and Chris Vasquez on offense and Gabe Sanders, Mykal Hutson and Vasquez were picked for the second team defense.
Honorable mentions were Ty Magee, Gael Alcala and Austin Mcgowin and academic all-district selections were Bui, Dykes, Steinbecker and Taylor Wall LADY EAGLES— Four MHS volleyball players earned all district awards with sophomore Malina Gordon making the first team, while senior Aaliyah McBrewer was selected for the second team. Sophomores Karley Hairston and Kylee Harris were named as honorable mentions.
Both the Milano Eagle football team and the Lady Eagle volleyball squad made the postseason this past fall.
