The Milano Lady Eagles are positioned to go deep in their playoff run that starts at 6 p.m. Thursday against Deweyville at Klein Forest High School in Houston.
Milano finished 12-9-1 overall and 9-2 in district play, which allowed them to secure second place.
The Lady Eagles will play their second and third game against the Lady Pirates at 6 p.m. and 8:30 Friday.
Deweyville finished their season 19-6 and 9-2, also with a second place finish in their district.
The Milano Eagles baseball team split games with Burton last week—winning at home, 5-3, and losing on the road, 14-1.
UP NEXT— Milano will wrap up the regular season by playing Somerville. They were scheduled to play on the road Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline) and then will host the Yeguas at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
