The Milano Lady Eagles continue to blow up the scoreboards. Milano defeated Deweyville last week in the first round of the softball playoffs, winning game one by a score of 14-4 and game two 15-3.
This was the seventh win out of the last eight games for the Lady Eagles.
Key players in the victory were Victoria Balderas and Rayelee Keen.
AREA— The Lady Eagles will now advance to area competition playing Junction this Saturday in a best of three series. Times and location will be announced.
The Mi lano Eagle s wrapped up 2025 district play with a win over Somerville. They shut out the Yeguas, 10-0, in front of a home crowd after beating them on the road earlier in the week 9-1.
Congratulations to the Eagles on a great season.
BI-DISTRICT— Milano will now face Evadale in the bi-district playoffs starting at 7 p.m. Friday at West Fork High School in Kingwood.
Evadale finished their season in second place, going 9-3. The Eagles finished 7-5.
Game two of the best of three series will be played at 2 p.m. S aturday a nd g ame three, if needed, will be played immediately after game two.
