The MHS netters capped off their regular season finale in style.
On Saturday, the Lady Eagles were victorious against the Bartlett Lady Bulldogs in three sets 25-19, 25-18 and 25-10.
Karyme Santana led the Lady Eagles with six kills and six blocks. Peyton Robertson led the team with 11 assists, while Montgomery Popham led the team in aces with two. McKenna Robertson led the Lady Eagles in blocks with four.
With the Lady Eagles going 9-8 on the season, they were able to secure the fourth and final playoff spot for their district. MHS Head Coach and Athletic Director Wendy King expressed how proud she was of her team’s play.
“I am excited for the opportunity for these girls to experience a playoff game,” King said. “I am very proud of this group for fighting back from two games down in two separate district games in order to earn that playoff spot. These young ladies mean a lot to me and I am honored to be their coach.”
The Lady Eagles will face the No. 1 seed Snook Lady Blue Jays in Caldwell on Oct. 29.
