Milano Junior High School girls’ runners brought home four golds and the 8th graders finished third in team standings at the Bremond Track Meet on Monday.

Eighth grader Melanee Moccia took first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.88 seconds.

Three of her teammates brought home a silver in the 100, Peyton Robertson with a time of 13.73, 800 Kadance Koenig with a time of 2:46.50 and in the discus Heather Wall with a throw of 70 feet 8 inches. Toni Meyer took 3rd with a throw of 65’10. She also placed fourth in shot put with 30’9” and Madison Carmichael placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 12’11”.

The 7th grade girls finished 5th out of 11 teams with 64 points. They won two gold medals in the 300 hurdles, Karley Hairston, 1:05.06 and the 1600-meter run, Itzel Carillo, 7:09.

Final results were: 3. dis cus, Malina Gordon 56’1”; 3. 4x200 relay: Karley Hairston, Mallory Miller, Itzel Carillo, Victoria Balderas, 2:16; 4. Shotput, Malina Gordon, 23’2”; 4. 100 hurdles, Hairston 21.58; 5. 4 x 100 relay, Bailey Wall, Rayelee Keen, Gretchen Bui, Malina Gordon, 1:07.25; 5. 800, Mallory Miller, 3:16 and 6. 400, Gretchen Bui, 1:23.33.
