After defeating Buckholts 25-8, 25-5, 25-11 in the Geneva Paceley Gym on Saturday afternoon, Milano finishes their first week of District 25-2A play with a 2-0 record.
The match was the third time the Lady Eagles had defeated the Lady Badgers this season. MHS beat them first on Thursday, Aug. 22, with a 2-0 shutout 25-14, 25-9 and another shutout nine days later on Saturday, Aug. 31, 25-13, 25-9.
The two teams play again in Buckholts on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
TUESDAY–MHS earned their first district win on Tuesday also at home over Holland 25-18, 25-11, 25-17.
THIS WEEK–The Lady Eagles have a two-game stretch this week.
They played Thrall, Texas Girls Coaches Association’s 15th-ranked team in Class 2A on Tuesday after press time.
Milano travels east to Robertson County on Saturday to face Mumford.
Like the Lady Eagles, the Lady Mustangs are undefeated after their first two district matches with shutouts over Holland and Bartlett.
Game time is at 1 p.m.
