The Eagles got shut out on Friday night against the Chilton Pirates in front of a home crowd. The final score was Chilton 42, Milano 0.

What started out as a promising season ended Friday. The Chilton Pirates overwhelmed the Eagles by scoring twice in the first quarter on the ground and in the air. Both extra point kicks were good and the lead going into the second quarter was 14-0.

The Pirates scored again on a passing play in the second quarter and it was Chilton 21, Milano 0 at halftime.

The Pirates continued doing damage in the third quarter scoring twice. The lead going into the fourth quarter was 35-0.

The Eagles did keep the Pirates to only one touchdown in the fourth. The final score was Chilton 42, Milano 0.

Eagle Head Football Coach Nick Moorehead said, “We played well offensively, we just couldn’t finish drives like we needed to. We showed some promise in this game so we will carry that into the offseason. I am pleased with the effort that we played with in this last game of the season with not a lot to play for.”

The Eagles finish with a 4-6 record overall and a 1-4 record in district play.
