Spring break week didn’t slow down the Milano High School sports schedule.
The Eagles baseball team lost their 27-2A District opener 15-3 to Holland at home on Tuesday.
Danny Cloud took the loss for the Eagles. He pitched 3.2 innings, allowed nine hits, 100 runs and seven earned runs and struck out three. T
Tucker Taylor was the relief for the game and he pitched 3.1 innings. He allowed eight hits, five runs, five earned runs and struck out one.
Bryson Richards and Tucker Taylor had one run each. Richards, Danny Cloud and Alec Hernandez each had one hit, while Ethen and Hernandez had one RBI each.
The team will have traveled to Somerville on Wednesday and results will be in next week’s Reporter.
The Eagles are scheduled to play their second district game against Holland on the road Tuesday, March 17.
The junior varsity game starts at 4:3o p.m. and varsity will follow.
