This past week, Milano’s Kyle King was named the American Southwest Conference’s “Offensive Player of the Week.”
King was nominated for the award after completing 28 passes for 337 yards with four touchdowns to help guide the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders to a 45-16 win over Texas Lutheran University in Seguin this past Saturday.
This is the fifth time the former Milano Eagle has won an ASC player of the week award and the second time this season.
Since arriving in Belton to play with the Cru, he has been a big part of the team. This past December, he helped lead UMHB to their second national championship with a 57-24 victory over North Central University (Illinois). He is a 2018 graduate of Milano High School, where he was an all-state selection in football and an all-region selection in basketball. King also was a part of the 2018 state champion track-andfi eld team at MHS.
He is the son of Wendy and Alvie King of Milano and studies physical education.
