Milano Eagle basketball started off their season with a 54-44 win over Class 3A Lago Vista and 90-30 victory over Jewett-Leon, but has since lost four in a row.
However, the four losses were to an emerging Cameron team 89-73 and the other three were at the Fantasy of Lights tourney in Wichita Falls this past weekend.
They fell to Mt. Pleasant’s Chappell Hill, Clyde and host City View High School. All schools they face up north are Class 3A schools and City View is ranked tenth by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
The Eagles played in Caldwell Tuesday after press time and head back to Caldwell Thursday to play in their tournament.
LADY EAGLES—Milano’s girls took on Rosebud-Lott after press time and play in the Thrall tournament this weekend.
BULLDOGS—Thorn dale lost to Rogers 57-52 last Tuesday and played Snook this earlier this week after press time.
THS plays in the Fayetteville tournament this weekend.
LADY DOGS—Thorndale’s girls beat Lexington 73-19 last week and play in the Salado Tournament this weekend. Tickets for the games in Salado are sold online only and can be purchased via the Salado ISD website’s athletic page.
