Rockdale native and nationally ranked bull-rider Ezekiel Mitchell had a lovely Saturday when he finished first place at the Arcadia Day One Short Go in Florida.
He beat out Brazilians Mauricio Gulla Moreira and Joao Ricardo Vieira to take the top spot and win the $1,000 top prizes.
As of press time Tuesday evening, Mitchell is the 29th ranked Professional Bull Rider in the world.
He is the son of Danny Mitchell of Rockdale and Janie Davis of Baytown.
