After gleefully watching USC lose in the Pac-12 Conference Championship on Friday to University of Utah, a school both my parents attended (but never graduated from), I couldn’t help but get excited for the possibility that USC could potentially face Texas in the Alamo Bowl.
Just the thought brought back the memories of Vince Young scoring late in the fourth to bring the Longhorns past the Trojans to win the 2005 national championship. For a game that is by no means the national championship, Texas and USC meeting in the Alamo Bowl would’ve been so awesome.
However, it was announced that the ’Horns would play in the Alamo City against Washington, a school that my cousin attended (and graduated from). —wt— Last week, Kentucky senator Mitch McConnell, a white American man married to an Asian-American woman named Elaine Chao, voted against protecting interracial marriage in the U.S. —wt— Be sure to catch Rockdale’s alumni soccer game this Friday at Tiger Stadium. You probably won’t see one of the coaches propose to another coach like last year, but it should be a good time. The fun begins 7 p.m.
