After the winter weather passed, Lady Tiger and Lady Bulldog powerlifters traveled to Somerville on Saturday for one more opportunity to advance to the Region III meet on March 5th in Dublin.
Seven Lady Tigers including Aquilina Ramirez, Jesenia Navarro, Mackenzie Musto, Jena Locklin, Lisbett Boussart, Alondra Rubio and Alyssa Grady were regional hopefuls going into the Last Chance Qualifier over the weekend and all officially punched their tickets to the regional meet this past weekend.
Locklin, Navarro, Rubio and Musto are all among the top five lifters in their respective weight classes.
For Thorndale, Landri Martinka, Makaelyn Vivas and Emily Owen qualified for the regional meet. Mac Tallas will also make the trip to Dublin as an alternate.
According to both team’s coaches, RHS and THS have boy qualifiers as well, but it won’t be official until Monday, March 1.
