Before heading into spring break, Rockdale Junior High eighth-grader r De’Andre Nunn finished with a gold medal in the high jump at the Taylor Relays this past Wednesday, leaping 6-2.
Nunn’s jump shattered the 25-year-old record held by Blade Bassler, a former University of Houston football player who j u m p e d a 6-1/2 in 1997, a couple of years before he became a Cougar.
