Three days prior to Thanksgiving, the Rockdale Country Club held their Junior Golf Tournament where Tyler Shaw beat out Ava Magre to win the ninthgrade division by one stroke with a 62.
Other winners were RJH student Mason Lillard, who won the eighth-grade division over Cameron’s Logan Akin, shooting a 45, while the young Yoemen shot a 48.
Brody White won the sixth-grade division with a score of 53, while Bo Clark finished in second with a 63.
White also won the award for getting “Closest to Pin,” while Lillard got the award for “Longest Drive” and “Best Score.”
The tournament was sponsored by Bassler Energy Services and St. John’s United Methodist Church provided the snacks and drinks.
