Tiger baseball hit the field on Monday night playing a scrimmage against a good Giddings Buffalo team.
Head Tiger Baseball Coach Austin Caffey was pleased with his squad saying, “It was our first time out and there was definitely a good combination of positives as well as areas that we can build on and work to improve. Our pitchers did well working on getting ahead in the count with first strike pitches. We expect this to continue to improve as the season progresses.”
The team looked good overall both offensively and defensively.
“We had quality at bats, which is really encouraging,” Coach Caffey noted.
This year Tiger fans should look forward to a veteran team that competes at a high level.
