Rockdale Tiger and Lady Tiger cross country teams have their first practice at 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

RHS also has their official schedule for the 2019 season. Like last year, they’ll kick off the fall with the Mud, Sweat and Cheers Relays 15 miles outside of Caldwell. The event will be hosted by College Station High School on Saturday, Aug. 24.

After a week off from competition, Rockdale will run in Lexington, McGregor, Caldwell and Cameron in September. The Yoe Invitational will give RHS a preview for their District 19-3A meet on Monday, Oct.

14. For regional qualifiers, they will run at the Region III meet in Huntsville and the State Meet is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

MILANO—Just down the road, Milano will also hold their first cross country practices of the year on Thursday at 6 a.m.

Milano’s 2019 schedule hasn’t been made public as of press time.

THORNDALE— Unlike Rockdale and Milano, Thorndale ISD begins cross country practices on Monday morning at 7 a.m.

The Bulldogs and Lady Dogs start their season a week before Rockdale with their first meet of the year on Friday, Aug. 16, at the Temple Invitational. They will join Rockdale the following week at the Mud, Sweat and Cheers on Saturday, Aug. 24, and make their way back up to Temple on Friday, Aug. 30.

In September, they’ll run in Lexington, Lago Vista, Salado and Cameron. On Oct. 9, they’ll host the Bulldog Run before the District 25-2A meet on Monday, Oct. 14.

The Region IV meet takes place on Monday, Oct. 28, in Corpus Christi. The state meet is scheduled 12 days later on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Settlers Park in Round Rock.
