The RHS netters capped off their regular season finale in style.
On Friday, the Lady Tigers were victorious against the Academy Lady Bees in three sets 25-15, 25-21 and 25-22.
Julie Bartsch led the Lady Tigers with 12 kills. Haven Jimenez led the team with 15 digs and six aces. Halle Jimenez led the team in blocks with one.
With the Lady Tigers going 11-9 on the season, the team placed third in their district and secured their ticket to the playoffs.
RHS Head Coach Kelsey Hudson explained how she was pleased with the teams’ performance and how they will prepare for the playoffs.
“I thought we finished district play out strong with an important win,” Hudson said.
“The win gives us momentum and confidence going into the playoffs. I am very excited and proud for my team! They have worked so hard and have earned their playoff spot. We are focusing on being aggressive and playing with confidence for the first round.”
The Lady Tigers will face the Fairfield Lady Eagles in the Bi-District playoff round on Thursday at Robinson High School.
