Lady Tiger sof tbal l played in their first official games of the 2023 season this past week, with a 19-0 shut out over Mumford on Wednesday and a 20-3 loss to Granger on Friday.
They play next in the Taylor tournament this weekend. RHS opens district play at home against rival Cameron on Monday.
First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
TIGERS— On Thursday and Friday, the Rockdale High School baseball team opened up tournament play in Schulenburg, where they beat the tourney host SHS (5-2) and Florence (6-0) but lost to Burton (4-0). The Blue-and-Gold also had a game scheduled with Milano on Saturday morning, but the game was canceled.
The Tigers faced La Grange at home on Tuesday after press time and play in the Bremond Tournament this weekend where they have games with Iola (2:10 p.m., Thursday), Snook (10 a.m., Friday), Normangee (2:10 p.m., Saturday) and Franklin’s junior varsity (4:15 p.m., Saturday).
RHS opens district play on March 14, at home against Lexington. Game time for the varsity is slated for 7 p.m.
