Rockdale runners are headed to Caldwell to kick off their season by competing in a duel/tri practice meet on Thursday.
“The only thing that I am looking for from our kids on Thursday is the endurance level that we are on in our races,” said Coach Lewis Edmonson.
“Being in shape is very important in a track season, and I want to know where we stand.”
Part of the Tiger squad include the trio of Cam’Ron Valdez, Kesean Raven and Qua’Shawn Crawford, who placed fifth in state last year in the 4x100.
“My season goal is to compete or the district and area championship with a very strong team,” Edmon-son said. “Also advance as many as I can to the regional championship.”
Next week, Rockdale will host the 61st Rockdale Relays Feb. 27-28 at Rockdale High School and Rock-dale Junior High School.
Rockdale Junior High runners will start their season at next week’s relays.
