For the third straight match, the Lady Tigers ended the game with a score of 0-0 when they faced Mexia on Friday night.
“The girls are playing hard and improving every day,” RHS coach Kaitlyn Brinkley said. “They come out every game and practice ready for whatever is thrown at them.”
Defensive standouts were Irma Hernandez and Carla Ugalde. Standouts on offense were Jasmin Cervantes and Vanessa Gonzales-Reyes.
Three days prior, Rock-dale tied Jarrell 0-0 at Tiger Stadium.

THIS WEEK–The Lady Tigers began district play against Austin’s Achieve Academy on Tuesday after press time.
They travel to the state capital Friday to take on Austin’s Eastside Memorial.

TIGERS–The Blue-and-Gold suffered their fifth loss of the season on Friday evening when they fell to Madisonville, 2-0.
Three days earlier, they fell to Jarrell 3-1 at Tiger Stadium.
RHS held a 1-0 lead at the end but the Cougars scored three unanswered goals to get revenge after falling to Rockdale five days earlier 1-0 at the Cameron tourney.
THIS WEEK–Rock-dale faced Austin’s Achieve Academy on Tuesday after press time and play next at home against Austin’s Eastside Memorial for their second district contest.
Eastside Memorial won the 26-4A district championship last season and defeated RHS 4-0 and 3-0.
Rockdale has struggled to find their ground since 2019 leading scorer Chris Olvera is out with a collarbone injury that will likely keep him off the field for the remainder of the season.
The kick-off at Tiger Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.
