Former Rockdale High School three-year letterman and all-district football player, Pearce Loth set a single-game, career best for catches record during Texas Lutheran University’s 47-14 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sept. 22.

Loth, a returning wide receiver, had six catches for 77 yards with a long of 27 and a nine-yard touchdown at Bulldog Stadium in Seguin.

The 27-yard catch came on a third and one play that took TLU from its own 30 down to the UHMB 43. The touchdown came at the 4:43 mark of the fourth quarter on a pass from Kyle Grona of Fredericksburg.

The TD capped a 10-play, 62-yard drive that took 3:43 off the clock.

For the season, Loth leads the Bulldogs in receiving catchs with 12 grabs. He is second on the team in total receiving yards with 133, with an average of 11.08 yards per catch.

In last Saturday’s victory over McMurry University 65-7, Loth scored a touchdown on a one yard pass from Grona.

Loth is the son of Tom and Julie Loth. He is a senior kinesiology major at TLU and minoring in business. Loth was an academic all-state and district in football and baseball. He was a four-year letterman in baseball and a three-year letterman in basketball.

In 2017, Loth played in all 10 games and was named to the Academic All-Conference team.
