TUESDAY Earlier this week, the blue-and-gold got their third win of the season with a 25-12, 25-12, 25-12 win over Franklin.

According to assistant coach Brian Thomas, the Lady Tigers had a great night hitting the ball. Anna Harmon led the team with 11 kills. Bartsch also had a hot game with eight kills and Haven Jimenez had seven. RHS also had a great night serving with 10 aces as a team.

THIS W EEK – Rockdale faced undefeated Lexington on Tuesday after press time.

RHS hosts 6-3 McGregor, a team that took down the Lady Tigers in a tiebreaker 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 12-25, 5-15 on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Rockdale has four more matches after press time with the Lady Bulldogs on Friday, an Academy team that they defeated in a tiebreaker on Friday, Sept 27, then Troy and Rogers, who have enj oyed much of the season as ranked teams.

“We have to keep up the consistency going into the rest of district,” Hudson said. “We have to stay fofused and nee fijhtlnj1È

Game time is a 4:30 p.m., in the RHS Gymnasium.

JUNIOR VARSITY Both Rockdale j unior varsity teams defeated Cameron putting theirselves both on track to winning district championships.

JV1 improved their 19-3A record to 8-1 with a 25-9, 18-25, 25-22 win over the Lady Yoe and JV2 took over in the third set with a 25-16, 22-25, 25-13 win over their rival.

Both teams play next on Friday in Rockdale following the conclusion of the varsity match.

MILANO– The Lady Eagles fell 9-25, 15-25, 11-25 to Thrall, the second place team in District 25-2A who was ranked by the Tex - a s G irls C oaches A ssociati on for much of this season. Stats were not taken for the competition.

The Lady Eagles got their sixth district win on Tuesday over Buckholts 25-10, 25-10, 25-16 at home. McKenna Robertson and Abby Miller led MHS in kills with 17 and 16. Danni Shaw was the team assist leader with 19.

THIS WEEK – The Lady Eagles played Mumford at home after press time.

Milano’s match with the Lady Mustangs is potentially a deciding match for the fourth and final playoff spot out of the district as both teams only have losses to Thorndale, Thrall and Granger, the top-three teams.

MHS plays next Saturday on the road against Granger, TGCA’s 25th-ranked team in Class 2A.

The Lady Lions won their first matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Geneva Paceley Gymnasium 25-23, 24-26, 20-25, 19-25.

First set is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

THOR NDALE– The 534; state-finaolsts repaln undefeated in district after defeating Bartlett 25-2, 25-6, 25-8 on Saturday afternoon.

Landri Leschber led the Lady Dogs with 15 kills and Kyndal Robinson had 26 assists. Madi Smith also had a season of 12 aces against Lassie defenders.

THS also defeated rival Thrall earlier on Tuesday 25-18, 25-15, 21-25, 25-21 as was reported in last week’s edition of the Reporter.

THI S W EEK – The Lady Bulldogs played Holland on Tuesday after press time. They play next on Saturday against Buckholts. If Thorndale wins both games, they will clinch the District 25-2A championship.

Game time is at 3 p.m., in Buckholts. It will be the only game played since BHS does not have any sub-varsity teams.
