On Friday night, RHS baseball and softball players got to see opposing competition for the first time this season with the Tigers scrimmaging with Rosebud-Lott, while the Lady Tigers scrimmaged with Holland on the other side of the parking lot.
Blue-and-Gold baseball returned to action on Wednesday after press time against Mumford at Tiger Field. They play next on Monday, when they host RHS head coach Austin Caffey’s former team, Thorndale. First pitch for the junior varsity game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., with the varsity game starting after the JV game ends.
Lady Tiger softball also plays at home this week and similar to Caffey, head coach Brock Miller will go up against his former school, Granger. According to the RISD Athletics website, there will only be a varsity game and that begins at 5 p.m.
