Rockdale High School tennis teams played in Franklin this past week, where they faced competitors from Cameron, Little River-Academy, Rogers, Bremond, New Waverly, Thorndale, Teague, Lexington and host FHS. Pictured are (L-R) Alejandro Rivera, Tyler Thomas, Mason Willard and Yolianna Castillo. Rivera and Thomas won the consolation bracket in the boys doubles division while Willard and Castillo placed third in the mixed doubles division with wins over teams from Bremond, Lexington and Cameron. Willard and Castillo’s only loss came to defending district champs from Academy, 6-3, 7-5. Tiger and Lady Tiger tennis players hit the courts next at Georgetown High School today (Wednesday) for the District 19-3A tournament. Submitted photo
