RJH football teams went 2-1 in Taylor on Thursday evening with the eighth grade “A” winning 16-14.

Both Tiger touchdowns were a Brody Willard to De’andre Nunn connection with one in the second quarter and another in the third.

RJH coach Eric Willard named Landon Deason, Wilmer Sorto Ventura and Nunn as the defensive standouts while Willard, Alex Cooper and Mason Lillard led on offense.

7A—The seventh grade squad was shutout 30-0 but had a recovered onside kick by Sebastian Lepe and 50-yard kickoff return by Jeramiah Butler.

Offensive standouts were Jace Henderson and defensive standouts were Butler and Colton Schlottman.

COMBINED—The combined 7th and 8th grade “B” team left Taylor with a 26-16 win.

Zayd Gwyn, Jesus Luna Herrera, Bryson O’Bryant and Eduardo Rivera each had touchdowns.

Luke Oliveras and Criss Ruelas led on offense and Pena, O’Bryant and Bryson Duncan were the top defensive players.

RJH teams head to Academy this week with games beginning at 5 p.m.
