RJH Tigers earned their first win of the season after defeating the McGregor Junior High Bulldogs 14-0. The Tigers are now 1-1 on the season.
Defense prevailed in the first half as neither team scored any points. The Tiger defense played so well that they didn’t give up a single yard in the half.
The Tigers got on the board in the third quarter with Alex Martinez burning the Bulldog defense on a 70-yard touchdown run. The point after was good.
In the fourth quarter, the Tigers extended their lead on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Marcus Avila to Kevin Valdivia to make the score 14-0.
Offensive standouts included Marcus Avila, Daniel Luna and Xander Kellar. Defensive standouts included Alex Martinez, De’reon Bell, Issac Carrizales and Valdivia.
The Tigers look to keep the momentum going as they prepare to face the Cameron Yoemen on Thursday at home.
