The Rockdale Tiger baseball team went to West to play in their tournament last week and left 2-2.
They played Kerens twice and split games. They won 4-0 and they lost 1-0.
In the 4-0 victory, Tiger pitcher Austin Caldwell gave up only two hits.
The Tigers beat Riesel 5-1 and lost to a serious 4A baseball team, China Spring, 8-1.
Make an effort to get out and watch these boys of summer before it’s too late. They are good and they are well coached by a group of former Tigers.
The Rockda le L ady Tigers opened up district play last week against C. H. Yoe High School and they lost both games.
They had a split series. The first game was played across the river in Cameron where the Yoe won 4-1. The second game was played here in Rockdale and was moved from Friday to Saturday because of potential foul weather. The final of this game was Yoe 9, Blue & Gold 0.
The Lady Tigers start in a deficit, 0-2 in district play.
COMING UP— Week two of district starts this week with another series against Little River-Academy. Game one was on Monday in Rockdale. The second game is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the Little River-Academy Field.
