The Tigers took both of their games against Lorena last week. On Tuesday they beat the Leopards on the road 4-3 before coming home to face them on Friday and winning 6-0.
The Tigers are now 7-1 and an impressive, well coached team.
The Tigers have some depth at pitching but there was no need with hard throwing Mason Willard on the mound Friday night. He pitched a complete game that was a fourhit shutout.
COMING UP— This week will be a challenge as the Blue & Gold have a series against the undefeated Troy Trojans—on Tuesday in Troy and Friday’s game will be here in the Rock at 7 p.m.
The Rockdale Lady Tigers continue to struggle. They lost twice last week against the Lorena Leopards. The final score for their road game was 4-3 and Friday’s loss at home was 12-2.
Emma Miller did have a solo home run and Izabella Delgadillo went 2 for 3 at the plate.
COMING UP— The Lady Tigers will now have a series with Troy. The first game was to be Tuesday in Troy, followed by a 6 p.m. game Friday here at Tigerland.
