ROCKDALE BASKETBALL

MUMFORD— The Rockdale Lady Tigers’ basketball team went up against Mumford last week and lost 33-25.

Players of the game were Trinity Hurd, six points, three rebounds, four steals; Tanisha McBr ide, six points, two rebounds, one steal and one block; Jernee Mitchell, six points.

BURTON TOURNAMENT— Rockdale competed in the Burton Tournament and came home with a third-place finish. Congratulations to this team that never quits.

Head women's basketball coach Danielle Lexima said, 'This team demonstrated incredible effort and teamwork in this tournament. Their hard work paid off.'

Game one of the tournament had the Lady Tigers playing against Hempstead. The final score was Rockdale 41, Hempstead 16.

Key players were Regina Hamilton, 10 points; Trinity Hurd, eight points; T'Niyah Miles, six points; Tanisha McBride, six points.

Game two was a 46-32 loss against Sealy. Hurd contributed 18 points in the game that included six three pointers.

Game three was a 49-21 win against neighboring Caldwell. Hurd had 15 points, Reginay Hamilton, 12 points and Tanisha McBride, seven points.
