Rockdale Tigers cross country team ran in a regional preview last week at the Huntsville Kate Barr Ross Memorial Park.
According to Tiger Head Cross Country Coach Cheryl Meuth, “They competed well.”
The varsity boys placed 10th out of 29 teams. Tiger runner Jesus Bocanegra placed 13th out of 232 boys competing.
Lady Tiger runner Daniella Bocanegra was the standout for the girls varsity team. Bocanegra finished 110th out of 213 runners. The JV girls squad was led by Makayla Zamora who was 36th out of 94 and JV boys stand-out runner was Wyatt Smith who came in 46th place out of 135 runners. Coach Meuth added, “This was a great experience for so many of them to get to run at a regional preview and to race at this level.” Way to go Tigers!
