The red hot Rockdale Tigers picked up two wins last week, both against McGregor.
Big Blue pounded the winless Bulldogs late in the week in front of a McGregor home crowd. The final was 18-1.
Senior Mason Willard started the game for the Tigers and was the winning pitcher. Willard, who struck out nine batters, received run support from Tigers like Layton Mogford who is currently on fire. Mogford had a grand slam in the game and had seven RBIs with two hits.
Earlier in the week the Tigers played McGregor in front of what has become their normal enthusiastic group of home fans and rightly so, as this team is talented and fun to watch. The final score of this game was 5-2.
COMING UP— The Tigers were to play Lorena on the road Tuesday, and then host the Leopards at 7 p.m. Friday.
Lady Tigers
The Rockdale Lady Tiger softball team gets a T for trying against the 2-6 McGregor Bulldogs last week. They lost at home in what was a high scoring event 17-13 and then lost on the road 14-3.
The Lady Tigers continue to remain winless in district play. Individual players that are having great seasons include Emma Miller, Laylee Lankford and T. Gonzalez.
COMING UP— The Lady Tigers were to face the 2-6 Lorena Leopards on Tuesday in Lorena, before hosting them before a home crowd at 6 p.m. Friday.
