The Rockdale Lady Tigers softball team suffered two losses last week against number one rival Cameron. At home Big Blue lost 10-1 and in Cameron they lost 8-2.
COMING UP— Rockdale was scheduled to play on the road against Lexington on Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline) before hosting Lexington at 6 p.m. Friday.
Tigers
The Tigers opened up district play last Tuesday at home against Cameron and lost 10-0.
Yoe came out big and got seven runs in the first inning, along with three more runs in the third, and it was just too much for the Big Blue Machine to overcome.
Rockdale’s Mason Lillard was the starting pitcher and allowed four hits and seven runs—four of those earned—struck out one and walked three over one inning.
Greyson Williams pitched four innings as a reliever and allowed four hits and three runs—none of those earned—while he struck out two and walked one.
Lillard led the Tiger offense by going two for three.
In their second game of the week, the Tigers suffered another loss to rival Cameron on the road. The final was 5-1.
Lillard was once again the leader on offense. He went one for three with one RBI.
Other Tigers collecting hits were Slayde Harris, Austin Caldwell and Cole Faust.
The Tigers are now 0-2 district play.
UP NEXT— The Tigers faced off against Lexington at home on Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline), before traveling to Lexington on Friday. Game time is 7 p.m. Lexington begins their district schedule against Rockdale.
