The Rockdale Tigers won big over Bruceville-Eddy in front of the home crowd early last week. The final score was 55-22.
Key players were De’Andre Stephens, six points, three assists, two deflections and five steals; Alex Cooper, 11 points, three rebounds, one assist, one deflection and three steals; and Josiah Smith, eight points and 10 rebounds.
Centerville Tournament
The Tigers went 3-2 in the Centerville Tournament. They won first place in the Silver Bracket and placed third overall.
All Tournament Players were De’Andre Stephens with a tournament average of 15.2 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, four assists, 3.6 steals and five deflections; David Penny, 13.6 points per game, 3.5 rebounds; Jeremiah Butler, 23 rebounds, 10 deflections and nine steals.
COMING UP— The Tigers played Troy on Tuesday and will host Navasota at 3:15 p.m. Friday.
The Rockdale Lady Tigers hosted Cameron last week and came out on top against the rival. The final score was 38-16.
Rockdale held the Lady Yoe to only four points in the second half.
Top performers were Jazelle Dunn, 15 points, eight rebounds, nine deflections and three steals; Reginay Hamilton, three points, 15 rebounds, two assists, two deflections and five steals; and Trinity Hurd, five points, six deflections and six steals.
COMING UP— The Lady Tigers played a game in Lexington on Tuesday, before taking a quick Christmas break and then resuming play in the Dec. 27 Smithville Tournament.
