The Rockdale Lady Tigers basketball team stayed busy during the holiday break.
Rockdale participated in the annual Smithville Tournament and left with a 1-3 record.
The Lady Tigers only victory came against Marion, a close 43-40.
The three losses came against host Smithville, 54-32; Lockhart, 54-40; and to Smithville again, 41-36.
Key players in the tournament were: Trinity Hurd, Kyndal Selgelid, Reginay Hamilton, T’Niyah Miles, Tanisha McBride.
Little River-Academy Rockdale’s struggles continued when Little River-Academy came to town on New Year’s Eve. The Lady Bees had a signifi cant 59-36 win in this important district game.
Franklin
The Lady Tigers then went on the road to Franklin and lost 52-12.
Coming up
Rockdale was set to face Thrall on Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline) at home, before trav-
eling to Rogers at 6:15 p.m. Friday.
Tigers
The Rockdale Tigers basketball team are 1-1 in district play. They beat Little River-Academy at home on New Year’s Eve 50-34.
On Friday they traveled to Franklin and lost 63-48.
