The Rockdale Blue & Gold basketball team lost last week to Academy, 47-40.
Three-point specialist David Penny had eight points and Tiger Josiah Smith had nine points with six rebounds.
This was Rockdale’s only game last week. Their current district record is 4-3.
COMING UP— The Tigers restarted their schedule Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline) in Tiger Gym against Franklin. On Friday they will travel to Thrall at 7:30 p.m. Thrall is 4-22 overall and 2-7 in district. The last time they met on the court, Rockdale overpowered the visiting Tigers 59-31.
Lady Tigers
Rockdale Lady Tigers lost on the road to Academy, 64-20, last week. Key players were Trinity Hurd and Alli Lacy who both had nine points. This makes the Lady Tigers 12-15 and 3-6 in district play.
UP NEXT— Rockdale was scheduled to host Franklin Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline). On Friday, The Lady Tigers travel to Thrall to play at 6:15 p.m. The Tigerettes are 14-10 and 5-4 in district. They faced off earlier this month and Rockdale lost 32-23.
