The Rockdale Lady Tigers basketball team lost at home against Franklin, 57-23, last week and then won on the road against Thrall, 29-24.
Key players in the Thrall victory were Kyndal Selgelid with 11 points, Jazalle Dunn with nine points and Tanisha McBride with five points.
Rockdale is currently 4-7 in district and 13-16 overall.
NEXT UP— The final regular season game for Rockdale was scheduled to be played against Rogers on Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline). A win would extend the Lady Tigers play into the post season.
Tigers
The Rockdale Tigers lost last week in overtime against Franklin in a home game, 65-57, before winning on the road in Thrall, 60-37.
Key players against Thrall were De’Andre Stephens, 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, three deflections and three steals; Ace Taylor 12 points, four rebounds and four assists; and Bryson O’Bryant, eight points, three rebounds and two assists.
UP NEXT— The Tigers were scheduled to play Rogers at home on Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline) and will play Cameron 7:30 p.m. Friday. Rockdale’s last game of the regular season is next Tuesday in Lexington.
When asked about the playoffs, Head Boys Basketball Coach Sean Lexima said, “It looks good for us. The overall standings are a little muddy right now, but we have a good chance of making it if we take care of business on Tuesday against Rogers.”
